Emile and Sarah did a bang-up job again this year, kicking off with coffee and donuts and heavy goodie bags full of usable treats!
While the group was mainly SCBMC members, a few Triumph Travellers came along for the good time.
Plenty of good-spirited conversations were had as new and veteran members mingled.
Last weekend’s Redwood Roll was about as perfect early NorCal fall weather as one could hope for. Or more accurately, that 22 cars could hope for!
The drive had up cruising Eastcliff Dr with plenty of thumbs up from locals out early. Motored up to UCSC to Empire Grade, snagging a left onto Ice Cream Grade.
From there, Bonny Doon Rd to Highway One. Motors had the chance to open up to highway speeds…though not too fast! The crashing waves and the blue, blue sky felt like driving in Hawaii.
A brief stop in Pescadero, where more than a few members took the opportunity to grab some artichoke bread at Duarte’s. Jackets were coming off as temps reached the high 70’s.
Back up through the redwoods to Skyline, then snaked down Highway Nine to Bear Creek Rd. A short jog onto Summit and down into Redwood Estates to the traditional end at Nonno’s Pizza. Plenty of slices, pints, and happy faces all around.
Emile thanks all members who participated. This was a great event, and we will do it again in 2022.
